the number after forum or inreplyto is the on that is after the = in the web address. Take this one for example: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/AddThread?inreplyto=2992630 the 2992630 would be <guestbook inreplyto="2992630" does that make sense?

Ok I got most of it to work but for some reason the subject doesn't want to show up on the guestbook.

Did you try your guestbook out? It doesnt work. What you need to do is click discuss this entry then take the last number starting after the forum= but change the & to and or it wont let you finish your entry. Well good luck.
