I can't actually view the picture on your website. Something about a permission error. smiley - sadface

Gordon:

You know, yesterday I kept getting permission errors when trying to go to H2G2. I just tried the link in my previous post and it worked fine. Maybe try again.

Apparently, the website wants a referrer ...

Go to http://community.webshots.com then straight away, in the same window, to http://community.webshots.com/image2/2/41/74/43324174jEzuDO_ph.jpgsmiley - spacesmiley - ok

I've tinkered with the wording a tiny bit to clear up McKay the Disorganized's (McKay's the Disorganized?) question about piles of rocks pointing.

Ausnahmsweise, wie üblich (Consistently inconsistent)

Hi,

Nice little entry.

Maybe a word that those in the UK could relate to is a cairn. They are not actually in human form, but they are way markers of stacked up stones.

The east shore of the Bruce Peninsula, ON has a lot of flat rocks and visitors have built inukshuks there too. (Just south of Wingfield Basin.)

Awu.

the thing about cairns is that they usually really are piles of stone rather than carefully stacked constructions (the Cairn at Culloden is a notable exception).

Smij - Formerly Jimster

A Scout has recommended this for the Edited Guide, but before I accept it, I just want to check ... if anyone here present knows any reason why this entry should not be joined in h2g2 happiness to the Edited Guide, then type now, or forever hold your mouse.

(In other words, let me know if it's ready)

I'm content. I mean, I'm satisfied with the content of the article. I'm not myself the content of the article. Inukshuk is content; I'm satisfied.

h2g2 auto-messages

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
