I think I may be too big a fan of the comma - tell me if they all need to be replaced by something slightly less punctuation-ish.

Yes 
I was familiar with the Chloe story, but only in so much as it was a nude painting in a soldiers bar, so this has given me a lot of new information.
Couple of typos - First word should be A not An and the bar is popular not prolific, and the picture was purchased by the surgeon Dr Thomas.... not buy the surgeon.....

The bar isn't the most popular though! I'll go with 'prominent' instead.
As to the typos - I blame the insane hour I wrote the entry at - thanks for pointing them out!
