Can anyone give me a list, or point the way to a list, of carbohydrates? I read recently that if you do not have any carbohydrates after 6 p.m. it helps in weight loss - have you tried this or know anybody who has?
thanks, eglington1

Sugars and Starches.
So all sweet things (including fruits ) and cereals like bread, rice and potatoes. Also alcoholic drinks
I have heard of the after 6pm idea, but haven't tried it myself as I would never eat an evening meal on workdays if I did that.
The problem with losing weight isn't so much the carbohyrates themselves but that you need to also eat fats with them to make them nice to eat.
e.g. If you have bread you have butter or marg with it,
rice you will have sauces,
potatoes will be fried (chips or roast) or with butter (mash and baked)
and sugar on its own isn't very nice but mixed with fats it makes lovely chocolate and cakes
etc.

I did not mean that the Archangel Fashion Cat should put any of this in her scientific entry on carbohydrates, but Researcher U213899 seemed new and currently under the <./>ACE</.>s radar so I thought it best to simply answer her question here.

Quite correct BrownFurby I just also hapen to know this is a WIP and not the finished article, close personal freind of hte author and all. And knew that these entries exited and told he it was best to but a link to them as it would avoid this sort of question.
