There is a tv programme on satellite called Ripleys believe it or not.It covers a wide range of topicssmiley - smiley

They say the most haunted place in the UK is a mansion in Scotland as many exorcists have tried to free the building from its spirits. It has a very malevolent presence and atmosphere about the place. Exorcists and other people have been physically attacked when entering the building.

justMe: not sure which castle or place is the most haunted really... but "windows areas" are usually the places where the most unusual events happen... events from the past being re-lived etc... we had a bit of discussion about the window areas in another thread a while ago... will try to find it and cut and paste our comments next time i have access to a computer....smiley - smiley

katrine: not as far as i know... there was "The UneXplained" for a while but it's not on the newsagents shelves anymore... tho' i have been told that we can order it...smiley - biggrin

JustMe: I read the information about
the castle in a book but that
was about 1994, so my memory
of the story is not very
clear.smiley - smiley

i was nursing in a small,old hospital,
(n like ALL hospitals, was reputedly haunted!)
i have never seen nething unfamiliar in all my years of nursing n just tool this story,as the others ,with a pinch of salt. However, one night(early hours) it was cold and windy n doors kept flying open or banging open n shut! There were only 2 of us in the building n we were laughing while closing n securing doors at various times(although i had a sneaky suspicion the other girl was just as nervous as i was but like me was loath
to admit it!)
neway, the police often came in 4 a natter in the small hours wen things were usually quiet n they decided to visit this particular night, but, unusually there was one p.c. n one dog handler, who asked if his dog would b allowed in,and as they were far away from ne patients or treatments we sed yes!
the dog was a beautiful fully grown alsation and was trotting excited towards us until the handler tried to turn a corner to reach the office!
the dogs hackles went up immediately,
it was baring it's teeth n barking uncntrollably, no one could see nething but an empty staircase and the dog would not budge another inch n had to b taken out to the police van!!
after that night, everytime we passed the staircase the hairs on the back of out necks stood on end!!
ooooo spooky!!
