I know this is no where near finished. I suppose I have just run out of steam with all the other stuff going on. I was hoping there might be some folks who could help me fill in the bare spots and arrange things more logically.

"Welcome to the Writing Workshop. If you've written a Guide Entry that's not quite ready for Peer Review but which you would like people's comments on to help you make it really shine, then this is the place for you."
That's me, and this is the infamous Writing Workshop, and yet instead of help on how to make it shine, still I just get arguments. Nobody cares about hearing the facts, only repeating over and over the ones they find support their side of the issue. I don't want to argue about it, and I won't. I only want to talk about how to make this entry "shine" and thus maybe attract someones attention who is capable of recognizing reparable sitautions and addressing them as such.

Hi Paulie,
I've other fish to fry this evening, and this is a long 'un, so I won't have time for it til next year (my favourite seasonal gag, ). Cya then.
have a nice end to 2002,
spiff
ps - Don't worry about the lack of response in the WW, it is always relatively slow, and all the more so over Xmas etc. I reckon you may get a better response in the next few weeks. Hang in there.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/F107743?thread=232805 that's where the conversation that has taken place is going on. Is there a way to move it here? I still get a little confused navigating this place

Hi paulie!
Yes the Workshop is a quiet place, don't worry
The thread you mention above is in the best place it can be, ie: at the bottom of the entry. That's also the place where all review threads will end sooner or later, and AFAIK the Italics can only move whole conversation threads but not individual postings or somesuch, plus it wouldn't make much sense to have two threads for the same entry in a review forum.
As to the entry: looks good! I can't contribute much to the contents but you can find some links to further aspects of the situation at A685109, Project Plowshare.

I can understand that Spiff, I should be catching up myself. I've had this thing hanging in my mind for a while now, it would be great to get it done and get on with "stuff". I think something a little lighter next time, like being the mother of a cheerleader or something

That mother of cheerleader thing sounds like it might be pretty scary actually.
This entry is ready I think, but that's just my personal opinion.
