forgive my stoopidity but how do i use this code i copied it to my page and it just printed the letters as you see them ??? sorry to trouble you

That's coz you haven't got your page in guide ml I must assume.

At the bottom of your edit page there's a choice of plain text and guide ml, switch it to guide ml and press the change style button.

Then it should work.

Any smileys on your page won't work unless you do them like this.

<smiley type="smiley name" />

and if you want to have spaces between the lines (like pressing the return key) you need to type
But that's about it.

thanks for the help but that seems tooo much like hard work so i shorthanded it to pde' which seems ok. you have a credit on my space .thanks again
