I missed it, TOTAL lack of funds and H2G2 access has really got in the way.
I'm very sorry all, let me know how it went, *snif*

No! Reclaimed by Alton Towers!
What a kick in teeth, all the fun he had in one year too. *snif*

The death of Meetsheep is a mystery indeed.
He was in the care of Z Phantom et al... However, it is suspected that Randall the lizard, jealous of Meetsheep's meteoric rise to fame, ejected him into the swirling masses of the River Rapids by setting up a mechanical fault to jolt him from the rotating platform. Thus, Meetsheep and his dear friend Troll were lost to the swirling maelstrom.
In a completely unrelated incident, a number of researchers were found in a tent later that evening, eating what we suspect was a lamb chow-mein with a single, suspiciously troll-shaped prawn...

Oh that's dreadful. I think that we should have an investigation, and get to the bottom of this. Whoever did this foul deed needs to be brought to justice!

Well, I've got to go pick up my little brother and sister from school... However, I can give you the identities of the eaters...
Of course, I was not among their number. Oh no. But they did find his will in meetsheep's box.
Dr. Anthea is looking after Ray, the sole survivor of this terrible occurrence. And we held a towel parade in Meetsheep's honour the morning after. Furthermore, we have gratifying pictures of Anthea wielding a scythe above the car Randall was hiding in.

alas the demise of MeetSheep was a saddening and terrible event for all present. But from the short time that i had the pleasure of knowing MeetSheep, i can safely say that he would not wish us to dwell upon his death, merely to look back on his colourful life occasionally with reverence and happiness, especially when anywhere near those certain rapids at that certain amusement park...and possibly raise a glass or two in his honour.
.. we had a minute silence (of sorts) after all...

I should think he'd prefer it if whoever did it was thoroughly punished, and prevented from doing this kind of thing to any other innocent . Or come to that.

hand on heart i can safely say that randall the lizard never once touched, pushed or otherwise persuaded the beloved meetsheep into jumping off that boat.
i believe he was far over the other side of the boat at that time (if i remember correctly) strapped to the backpack of another researcher who shall remain nameless for legal reasons...
i'd be happy to give a character reference..

Event Horizon Posted Sep 23, 2003
Blame not the lizard!
I was there, I saw it with my own eyes. He is innocent, and beyond suspicion of all slanderous remarks! I am quite happy to add my account of events for all to see on A1300843.
