I saw Two Towers tonight and I thought it was AWESOME! Viggo Mortensen was great as Aragorn, and the digitally created Gollum was amazing. Very impressive battle sequences. I really loved it.

PS The running time is one minute short of three hours.

The running time is 364 days short of perfection! In Peter Jacksons words, one can consider the break between parts 1, 2 and 3 just another (BIG) intermission for popcorn! But you can eat a LOT of popcorn in that time...

I saw it and then spent some time in a stupor from awe. He did it again - take the best parts of the books and made it into something, that would have made Tolkien himself pleased. (Or so I'd like to think.) The only really bad thing is that 364-days-intermission, popcorn or not.

Did you notice Peter Jackson in a cameo during the battle at Helms Gate?

I'm trying to gather people on my page for a serious debate on Two Towers, just follow the link and then the uppermost journal entry. Or - we could discuss it here. The trouble is avoiding spoilers for the unfortunates.

But, a final comment on Two Towers:

WOW!
