SashaQ writes: Aeroplane-wing-carrying aeroplanes have been a familiar sight in the sky over North West England for many years. They were nicknamed 'belugas' because of their bulbous shape resembling that of beluga whales. I recently saw one of the new, even larger cargo-carrying planes. Building on the nickname, the Airbus BelugaXL has a face painted on it, making it look even more like its whale namesake!
