Hello Prof! I'm very happy that you like this little Owl drawing! I did it for a lady friend who also loves them. The owls themselves are great too!

Owls in swamps? Hmmm. I remember Hwland owl in the "Pogo" comic strip. There was also Owl in Winnie the Pooh, which lived in the Hundred Acre Wood, with various streams. Owls can fly, so they can forage over a wide area, but there must be lots of water creatures available in their area

Hello Paulh! These owls do require rather large stretches of rivers for hunting so they occur at low population densities.
