That transport guy should invest in ferries. Any news on the people actually living in Nebraska?

Besides the obvious joke that nobody in the US outside of that region has a clue WHERE Nebraska is (it's in the flyover-state region, meaning people from the coasts fly over it in airplanes, and it's one of those roughly rectangular states that people confuse on the map), I hope we get a description of what happens experientially if you approach it from, say, Kansas.
By the way, this is no dig at Nebraska, which is actually quite beautiful, judging from photos. They have a sense of humour because they came up with the tourism slogan: 'Honestly, it's not for everyone.'

Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore.
Now I wonder whether the loss of Nebraska will influence planetary spin. It is quite a big unbalance you're creating.

If you level it off at the lowest point in the state, you are talking about some 100.000 cubic kilometres of rock and soil, weighing in at around 2.5x10^17 kilos. It doesn't remotely compare to the mass of the moon, but I expect some wobbling would still be felt.
