I may be exaggerating a bit. I usually try to use substitutes for saffron because it is so expensive.

Do these crocuses think it's Spring again? Are they Southern hemisphere crocuses? smiley - smiley

No, they are wild plants which have flowers in autumn naturally. I'm not even sure if they are actually related to normal crocuses or just have the name because they look similar.
