Editor's Note: I am not an oceanographer. I don't live near an ocean. (I used to live near the Aegean, which means I can recognise an octopus.) I know nothing about crustaceans other than crawdads. So somebody tell me: is a discarded crab shell supposed to look like this?
Did Paigetheoracle send it because it was usual, or unusual? Or does he just like it because, unlike every water bird in Scotland, it couldn't get away?
