Regardless of one's politics, everyone needs to eat and get somewhere. If they try to avoid both, they won't be around to argue.

Why are social media so full of trolls? I've posted the most innocuous messages, only to get dozens of responses from people who didn't even read what I had written. There are apparently millions of people who have built up so much inner rage that it's wonder they don't explode

Maybe that is why I avoid posting stuff on social media (except here of course).

Speaking of more surrealism: My daughter hauled me and my wife off to see the Barbie movie last night. She always tries to find out things like what my favourite scene was while I am just trying to find what (if any) the deeper meaning is that the filmmaker is trying to get to us. I failed on both counts, but somehow enjoyed the whole experience. I suppose my favourite part was when Barbie said she was ugly and a voice-over added something like: 'Note to filmmakers. To make this believable you shouldn't have cast Margot Robbie'. My Son declined to go so he will now be in the dark about the significance of horses for eternity.

A nice research project for Einstein would have been to figure out how many sides the dice of Der Alte has (could be 1 of course)

smiley - laugh I haven't seen the Barbie movie - waiting for it to show up on streaming - but I have thoroughly enjoyed the clips I've seen, as well as Ryan Gosling's deadpan extolling of 'Kenergy'. Mr Gosling has said that his daughters were confused by his playing Ken (they named their Ken doll 'Darrell'.)

Well, I think the sentients running FWR's fictional universe play pick-up-sticks, so why not a one-sided die?

Maybe you could use a ball bearing as a one sided die. The ball is also acting as the single dot.

(note to self: add ball bearing to dice pouch)

smiley - rofl I'd say something clever about a Moebius strip, if I had anything clever to say.

That would work, I suppose. Could be kind of floppy...

Now I imagine it bouncing around indefinitely when cast.
