I see the need for some Men in Black here, with their mind eraser stick thingy.

Or maybe not.

Let's hope the Akkadians will learn some better jokes and humility next.

“ 'Maybe the reason they pick on other people,' suggested another, 'is that they're afraid somebody's going to pick on them. ” - well put - explains a lot about the ‘comedians’ who complain they can’t say anything any more, because they want to ‘joke’ about how awful other people are, rather than looking for absurdity closer to home, which is much more amusing in my opinion smiley - ok

I knew of Genesis 19, but hadn’t read the text until just now - didn’t realise the impact on the women of Lot forcing two strangers to stay with him… Your haircut is kinder.

Thanks for reading, Sasha - and for the comments! smiley - smiley

Xenophobia was indeed the sin of Sodom. I, er, threw in annoying comedians because writers are allowed to throw in their pet peeves. But I'm with you about those comedians whining that somebody's picking on them. They're just mad that the audience finally fought back. smiley - laugh

We had a comedian in the US for many years, very popular man by the name of Don Rickles. He was billed as an 'insult comedian' - but his 'insults' were harmless and scattershot and he was actually very sweet. His best friend was Bob Newhart, possibly the most inoffensive funny man in the business.

I just looked up what he said in an interview: 'What it is is I don't really insult. I exaggerate all our selves, our beings. I make fun of everything, of our life and what we are.'

I've heard the ones that are whining and they don't do that. They attack specific people and expect the rest to laugh.
