Sounds like a wonderful place! The library has an entrance to L-space, no doubt.

L-space connects all the libraries everywhere and at any time because (and I hope I remember that correctly)books are knowledge and knowledge is power and therefore knowledge can interfere with time and space. Therefore portals to L-space are created. It contains all books that exist, have existed, will exist or can potentially exist. It seems like the Librarian of the Unseen University visits this place regularly or even accesses other libraries through it.

smiley - rofl Aha! That is a lovely in-universe description of the Akashic Record! (I didn't remember that, thanks for explaining.)

Back in the early 90s I used to give my students 'Akashic Library Cards' once they'd finished my literature class. (Signed by Asmodeus.) smiley - angel

I wasn't aware of the Akashic records, but I did know L-space (from Discworld). So we all lear a bit every day.

There is also the art of deducing the contents of as yet unwritten books from what is already available. (some people might also just call this "writing a new book")
