This episode is going to be a large drain on the special effects budget for the movie.

Unfortunately, shooting the dictator doesn't always improve matters.

smiley - snork It gets worse.

And you're right, shooting the dictator doesn't solve anything - that's why he isn't dead. smiley - winkeye

Some random thoughts.

The building hums because it doesn't know the words

A foyer is an entrance hall. Is it derived from "Foy," which means the quality of loyalty? There were seven little Foys, who were loyal to their father, and to show business. They were hopeful, too -- in the movie of their life, the father was played by Bob Hope.

A baffle prevents the spread of something. It can also make it hard to understand something

The stairway to paradise (cue a Gershwin song) seems to be a one-way route. Could it also lead to something more sinister?

That Nimrod will live to mislead people yet again is not good news, but there are still 13 more chapters in which to either get him out of the building, or get Elvis into it.

These are not supposed to be deep musings.

These comments remind me very strongly of a former coworker of mine who was becoming hard of hearing but hadn't broken down and got herself a hearing aid yet.

She said, 'What I think you said is so much more interesting to me than what you actually said.'

I have a stream of consciousness mind. Luckily, my stream is not the Kern River in California. That old river just keeps rolling along

There are 12 inches in a ruler, Queen Elizabeth was a ruler. Queen Elizabeth was also a boat. Boats sail on the sea, the sea has fishes, the fishes have fins, the Finns fought the Russians and the Russians are red, that's why fire engines are red because they're rushin' all over.

I recognise it and thrive by it. Why go from A to B in a straight line if you can also pass through X, D, O and C? Those might be much more interesting.

Unless of course you are ostensibly responding to something someone else wrote. In which case you run the severe danger that your clever rambling is taken as an insult by the author, who then comments about you extensively on Twitter. smiley - tongueincheek

However, as a technique for producing original writing it's a good tip. It served Terry Pratchett well. I've been rereading 'Men at Arms' and he rabbit-chases quite wittily.

I suppose that is the reason I love to read Pratchett and my wife doesn't.

Am I lucky I'm not on Twitter.

OK, in a roundabout way I am, but I do not have my own profile and I do not actively follow anything or anyone on Twitter.
