Subsaharan Africa, except for dense forests. Isn't there a lot of rainforest in what was once the Congo?

Hello! The bird here was caught in a ringing operation in the Polokwane Nature Reserve.
There's a lot of rainforest in the old Congo indeed! And they don't occur there. At least not in the rainforest part of the country.
