No. But damson plums are purple - or at least, a really deep blue. My folks had several trees in North Carolina - they made great jelly, but you needed a LOT of sugar. Birds wouldn't eat them, though, a good thing.

I planted an American plum tree a couple of years ago. I hope it will produce fruit some day. I eat prunes for breakfast every morning. Not that I needed to tell you or anyone this, just that plums are amazing.
