Humankind has a lot of other things on its plate.
Social distancing hasn't been a perfect method for staying virus-free.
And there are millions who can't work but would like to.
And once these problems are solved, other human issues will still come first for us....

Hiya! Well ... we humans have a very large number of problems to attend to indeed. But what's holding us back is nothing but our own selves. I think with just a bit more of a broader vision we can solve innumerable problems, including that of the extinction crisis...
