Do I see sinister intentions in that gull? Maybe I do!

If you wanted to move over so as to "share" what the gull is sitting on, the gull would not likely want to stay. So much for sharing!

But the seagulls might have been there first. Perhaps they have lived in this area for centuries and resent the newcomers.

As with the complaints about pigeons elsewhere in this issue, I concur that it is incumbent on humans, when taking away the birds' habitats, to facilitate new ones.

Also to put up with seagulls on those basket chairs that appear to be so popular over there. smiley - laugh

Your points are duly noted, Dmitri.

For the November journal-writing project, I could work in some themes about peaceful coexistence with animals. smiley - smiley (I would set anything I write in Crepuscular Meadows, with all-new material, of course, maybe a murder mystery involving the death of peter Peters, who oversees the reservoir. smiley - whistle.)

Yes, I'm perilously close to going off-topic, and I apologize to anyone who wishes I would behave better....

The November project is historical. We'll post the particulars next week. smiley - smiley

In a mystery, a dead body is a McGuffin. Peter Peters is dead, so he is definitely historical. smiley - tongueout
