The story:
Typing away here, strange flappy noises from the front room, cat going apeshit and the dog sounding confused. Yup he can do that...
Latest present of Jax to his daft doggy mate. A baby birdy.
Luckily got the poor thing off him, and after a brief but exciting chase scene, (he survived by pretending to be a Buddhist) , out of the house.
Bird flew off OK, so relatively unharmed, but it did get slobbered on by the dog!

In reply to the Editor's question: 'Sparrow, I think. Could be a house martin... Jax just calls them lunch!' So if you can identify the bird, we'd be grateful. FWR's sure now that it's a hedge sparrow.
