Guess the butterfly?

Are we supposed to guess the butterfly?
I thought it might be a marbled white (Melanargia galathea) but I think it's too brown.

If that's the kind f butterfly it is, then the photo was probably not taken in Ireland or North Britain, as those areas are not part of the butterfly's range.
I'm not sure that that is the kind of butterfly it is, but I don't have a better guess. These things happen.
Then again, you are probably right, for here's a pictue of such a butterfly feeding on nectar form a flower that's in the piture:

A pretty butterfly. My flowers have attracted a few nice butterflies, including the cherished Monarch. I always like to see butterflies, either live or in photos.

Yes, it is a good year for butterflies - I have seen quite a few different types in real life, and it is lovely to see them in photos, too.
This is a great photo - really shows the texture of the flower head, the butterfly's wings and the fluffy body

I love swallowtails, but rarely see them.
Most of the "butterflies" I see are the white "cabbage moths." It's odd, because we have no cabbages growing in the area.
