Splendid to see this atmospheric film again! A masterpiece! I declared it then, and declare it now.

Second viewing, it is still, to me, so marvellously scary, with the repeated image, the flashing light, the build up of tension, to me its all in the understated.

You've added a couple of lines of text since I saw it. They looked normal .. they sounded normal..

The gull image at the beginning for me is the suggestion, and along with the title, works on the brain, then the flashing light and the soundtrack do the rest. Then the effect goes bendy, oooh love that effect.

It's amazing the power of the repeated image.

We are about ten miles inland, but that doesn't stop the seagulls from swarming the parking lot of he Dedham Stop and Shop.

Really??? About the light flickering, while you were researching the ghost. Now that is very spooky. No wonder the film has the atmosphere it does. heheh.

The seagulls were something else...Jonathan and Barclay James Harvest I believe....but I was on nights and being haunted at the time!!

Oh what??? It's the place with the lights! The Lisbon Bar and Grill. I'm getting it now. What about these ghost sightings then? And the sound, could be gulls, perhaps not. This is completely fascinating.

Being me, when I saw your film, I never put your flashing light into a context, I was so consumed with the power of the image. You probably put an explanation somewhere, well, in this article in fact, but you know me, I tune into things in a funny order.

I can't believe it started flashing, just when you were researching....

I was trying to record the weird sounds for DG and ended up with the lights and the gulls, DG did his usual video magic with it!

Oh, I seee! Now I have the story behind the film. Love it. Its a legend.

The film before I knew the story, and the film after. I have two films now, making overlapping patterns in my brain. With the same flashing ghostly light. Flash on, off, flash on, off .. Fine work, and thankyou, artistes.

Plus I really reeely want to record some gulls now. All your fault. I am set to go. I have a sampler, a mic, and often about fifty gulls perched on the roof, making weird noises in the middle of the night.

Good! I could use some gull effects!

Also, any time anybody feels generous with the local footage, I love to make videos of the clips. So far, I've done a few of Mrs Hoggett's, and one of Kitkat's snail and tadpoles, which will be coming up in the Post one day...

A tadpole video sounds charming.
