Warning, I may ramble. Forgive me if I do

Alness seemed as if it could be near Lock Ness. It's near the Cromarty Firth, along the east side of Scotland. As it happens, it's not that far from Loch Ness. Inverness is halfway between.

I see those lovely pictures of bodies of water, and am reminded of Dmitri's lovely video about that adorable frog and its many tadpole offspring.

if there are insects in the pictures, IO can't see them, but then my sight is nt what it once was.

No insects here but a small hill to climb, which overlooks the village / town. Lived beside Loch Ness once. Never saw anything I couldn't explain but read accounts by others that did inspire me to go there.

Ramble all you like that is how I got there in the first place, on my way from the house

have you ever been to Loch Lomond? Does it deserve being immortalised in song?

If there were a song about Loch Ness, what might it be like?

Caiman raptor elk - Inside big box, thinking.

I have Loch Rannoch on my living room wall (a picture, not the actual Loch).

I like the arrangement of your photos. It keeps me wondering whether the hovel on the bottom left picture would fit neatly in the tunnel on the bottom right picture. (like a sliding puzzle) The shapes seem to match.

Google maps used to have an Easter Egg, where you could travel from Fort Augustus to Urquhart Castle by Loch Ness monster.

It is big and pretty but not as deep as Loch Ness and Lake Baikal in Russia could swallow them both apparently (has its own monster too - no not Putin).

I can't think of a song being written about Loch Ness but Campbleton Loch did have one, sung by Andy Stewart. I also started to write a poem in the style of William McGonagall about another body of water on the north coast
Oh, Loch Erribol, where the Clegg flies are terrible...

Clegg flies are a type of horsefly. I think of Pegasus when I think of them (Cleggasus?). smiley - laugh
