FWR:

Another one by Sasha that ruins the flying rat image! Beautifully graceful birds, and this viewpoint is fantastic. Lovely tones and detail too.

DG:

I love the angle on this.

How do you get such a clear shot? None of the motion is blurry! The wings, the ripples. Fast shutter speed I guess. Lovely!

Thanks everyone!

Yes, it was a fast shutter speed - I was looking out of the window on the top floor of A87830049 and it was a bright sunny day. Not all the photos I took came out so well, but I was very pleased with this one smiley - biggrin

Amazing looking building! The Museum of Liverpool!

Ah, so it was a fast shutter speed. Its great isn't it when you take a roll of photos and one comes out so well it doesn't matter that the rest don't satisfy.

Yes, that’s the joy of digital cameras for me, that I can take many photos without having to worry about cost - the bad ones can be deleted and some of them turn out well smiley - ok

Yes! Its amazing isn't it!

When photos are deleted on a digital camera, where do they go? Like, do pixels just disappear?

Phred, Paulh comes from your fair country. Boston, to be precise!

I had the good fortune to meet both Sasha and Paulh at the h2g2 meet in London, last year!

I travelled up with my friend minorvogonpoet.

Twas a fine gathering.

The u.S. is huge, with many different climates, both natural and human. Also some unnatural and inhuman ones. Right now, I am enjoying the fact that daffodils love to rise up form the earth after a cold winter, and rose bushes send out lots of leaves. I think that my Lollipop Lilies are starting to come up as well.

Last Fall I planted eight irises. During the Winter, our local plow service appeared to run over them, ruining them.

But nw I realize that I was mistaken about where they were. Sure neough, seven of them are coming up, so all is good. smiley - ok
