FWR:

Talk about a lead-in shot. Apart from the pretty snow (that I'm sure DG is now totally fed up with) the geometry is particularly striking, a giant zebra crossing maybe? Nice use of fading perspective DG.

DG:

While town is much prettier in spring and summer, when the flowers are out, the snow does make interesting patterns. That does not excuse it from battering my window with sleet last Friday, then snowing like mad for 15 minutes, then melting away with a 'nah, nah'. Phooey.

Nice photo. Someone has been up early enough to shovel the sidewalk. I'm grateful not to have had snow to shovel, but still..........

Sunny and bare today. There were two chipmunks emerging from under the porch.

This means there will soon be more. smiley - whistle

Maybe there are heating coils in the cement, so snow melts when it hits the sidewalk?

The geometry is excellent - I like how the textures of the flat paving stones and the fluffy snow in strong perspective are contrasted with the upright trees, emphasising the grey, white and black tones smiley - ok

I'm fine with pictures of snow, as long as we have reached a time of year when actual snow is not likely. smiley - smiley

Finally. smiley - laugh Thanks, Sasha - at the time I took it, I felt we might as well enjoy the symmetry since we couldn't do much about the weather.
