It's never a bad time to get some roses.
I never thought I'd be able to grow roses at all, but year after year the roses I've planted get bigger and stronger.
So, I love the roses in the photos. I also love the tea roses that i planted in some planters next to our dumpsters last year. Despite the earliness of the season, those roses have some really robust buds (leaves only; the flower buds will come much later). The yellow roses in front of our main office are also raring to go. We have several wild roses, including a Virginia rose in my backyard. It has a reputation for spreading out six feet or so from its base, and taking over a space. I will not eb unhappy if it does just that!
The wild roses don't have double petals, but they form delightful red rosehips that persist almost until the next Spring.
For the coming season I'd like to try some orange roses and some multicolored ones.
Ah, I can dream.

Thanks paulh
Yes, I treated myself to some more cut roses for my house this week, just to brighten the place up while I'm at home more often
I hope your rose bushes are doing well now The rose by my front door was a bit confused, as it had rosebuds on it all winter until the storms came. However, some fresh new leaves are sprouting, so it looks OK

There's a Carolina Rose in a large planter in my back yard. It's loaded with green shoots now. A good omen.
