I was repairing "valve" tv's and the company I worked for wouldn't train me on the "new" transistor ones coming in, plus colour tvSO I shifted to the chemical industry for better wages

I hope those chemicals weren't dangerous. There's no telling what kind of mutations you could have gotten from them...

Any chemical is dangerous when ingested in sufficient quantities, even dihydrogenoxide.

Especially when you inhale too much of it .

Some of those HSE reports make grim but facinating reading, mostly the cause was forseeable, with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight but one sticks out.

I have done more or less the same operation on that particular plant in the past, when the plant was on "shutdown" for maintenance.
2 of my ex workmates lost their lives in that "accident"
