This is a common problem. Many people look delicious to various monsters and pests. Catholics look delicious to vampires, but nonbelievers and protestants don't. I don't know if converting to a less vampire-prone religion would help.
Of course, you might be unconsciously attracting insects to your room.
You can repel spiders with a peppermint oil spray
