My first reaction was to wonder if the cat is alive. Being a still photo, we don't get to see whether it is breathing. Also, we aren't shown the rest fo the body. Do you suppose that it is one of those strange mythhological beasts like manticors. Suppose (I know this is far-fetched, but...) it's a mankittencor? Suppose that the part we don't see include a man's body and a scorpion's tail?
(Yes, I've been thinking about smoking funny mushrooms -- too cheap to *actually* smoke them.)
But, by Ockkam's razor, the simplest answer is that it probably is a
sleeping kitten, whose head is all we see.
I have tried to embellish -- needlessly.
