FWR:
The PoV and the vingetting make this image pop! The statue seems to be leaning over the viewer, adding to the drama. Lovely old world feel to this shot.
Getting close to a building and looking up gives a sense of height, too.
DG:
Yes, this is the statue they were busy setting fire to in Hooverville. I grabbed this shot from the top of the Ferris wheel that was set up in the park during the festival. I figured it was the closest I was going to get without a drone.

This is a great shot. Gaining some altitude as some good effects, even though I was a lttle nauseous about the rocking of the car between stops!

Black and white suits her.

As an off-the-wall reaction, I imagine this as a farm wife about to ring the dinner bell, as at the beginning of "The Real McCoys."

That's definitely an off-the-wall reaction.

Off the wall seems to be my area of strength today.

[This is off-topic, I know, but I'm trying to smooth things over with local shopkeepers and town officials regarding a poster advertising a performance of "The Messiah" the week before Christmas. I've tried Caiman, doyou think Fred would let the madrigal group post this posteri n the Fire Station?]
I'm sorry about this being off-topic. I'm not always successful about getting in touch with the people of Hooverville. if I post a question on someone's personal space, it tends to go unanswered for days. That happened with the Mayor. There's a slender thread of relevance here, as lady Justice is a figure at the top of the City Hall of Hooverville.
Again, I apologize.

The Mayor has limited availability. I can't answer for Fireman Fred.
Why not put the poster up on the (weather-protected) bulletin board in front of the public library? It's very visible and a community focus. I can guarantee that the local history museum on the other side of the town square park from the town hall will also put up a poster. (Since I'm the only one who said anything about it.)
And put one in your shop window and send an announcement to the 'Honker'.

Thank you, Dmitri.
The concert is weeks away, and the posters wouldn't go out immediately, but it would be nice to say something like, "[pick a character] always displays our posters.
Yes, the library, museum,. et al are great choices.

I don't think Fred would mind.

Thanks, everybody! I've written it all into the segment I've written for tomorrow.
I've written the segments as far as November 24. For the 25th, I'd like to work with other characters. Wlad can do whatever he wants, it's all fine with me. My characters will listen to and enjoy his music.

Fred can sing, although his current experience is limited to stuff with wailing guitars and flying beer. Maybe he ought to widen his experience?

This is where intonation would be useful.
"Oh, please" as in "Yes, please. I would like to hear that" or as in "Seriously?! Don't even think about it"?

Always be careful with explicit lyrics...

[It's all happening to fats for me to read every post meticulously. Partly this reflects the time element of my own contributions; even if my stuff is mostly dreck, I do try to keep it from being worse dreck than it has to be. Later, when the Hooverville saga is finished, I plan to read each contributor's full story in order from beginning to end. I've tried that with one contributor, and I found that I understood much more than when when I read the daily posts of everybody. That's just what I've found. Maybe this wouldn't work for everybody]
