h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

My first impression was of a gold bearing rock, maybe bashed in. The implied unpainted condition proves false. (It being a painting). So the bashing probably didn't take place as well.

It looks to me like a forest in the Fall, when the leaves have turned orange and yellow, but have not yet fallen. The interior of the forest is kind of murky. Is something sinister lurking a few yards inside that interior? Or is this all some trick of the light?

Probably the sinister entity playing with the light switch.
Could be a left-handed entity trying to paint with the right limb/protrusion. That is what sinister used to mean, as in right and not-right. So if something doesn't seem to be right, it must be left (?)

Watch a bit longer and you'll see a unicorn with wood nymphs following, trying to hitch a ride

That must be a sight to see. A unicorn trying to ride a unicycle

Or playing a horn concerto.

Apparently, they make a piercing noise.

I should probably enlarge the image as much as possible and then use a magnifying glass to look for any evidence of unicorns.

You will probably only find uniturds.

I don't think you can compare the intelligence of six-year-olds and 65-year-olds. The two girls might be very bright for their age.
