Thank you smiley - biggrin

Yes, I hear what you mean about the polka - the polka rhythms on my keyboard are a bit more 'marching band' style, though, so 'Viennese Waltz' is the rhythm I chose for this piece smiley - ok

Polka's 2/4 time. smiley - smiley I just found out that 'pulka' is a Czech word meaning 'half', referring to the cut time signature. smiley - musicalnote Cool to know. Allegedly polkas were invented by a bored young lady in Bohemia.

"How many bored young ladies are there in Bohemia?" might be an interesting pub quiz question.

Bohemia is landlocked, so I wouldn't expect it to have a navy. It is a part of the Czech Republic, which has no navy.

But you may recall that Austria, another landlocked country, had a navy. Captain Von Trapp was an officer in that navy.

So, who is to say that there might not be a clandestine navy lurking in the Bohemian woods, staging covert trysts with bored young ladies. Each time a young clandestine Czech seaman secures the hand of a young lady, Arsenio Philpotts snds a letter of congratulaitons and includes a coupon good for a discount on the finest Hutshcnreutther china pattern.

smiley - rofl That was a Shakespeare joke. One of his plays starts on the 'seacoast of Bohemia'. People always laugh, but back then, Bohemia had a seacoast. smiley - winkeye

But I like the idea of a secret Bohemian navy. smiley - laugh

Give it a few hours. Once it turns midnight in the UK, I'll put up the NaJo stuff and start the first thread. smiley - smiley
