Speaking of food trauma: Chicken grits boiled in buttermilk is one old taste explosion I could have done without.

What are 'chicken grits'?

Maybe they are chicken *and* grits, i.e. cracked corn?

And who in their right mind would boil buttermilk?

Dmitri, you'd have a very small population to work with if you eliminated those who weren't in their right minds.

I have a recipe for buttermilk pie. I expect that something very much like boiling is needed to get it into a pielike form.

Pie is one of the four essential food groups.

Here it is Halloween, and I'm thinking of departed dear ones, and I have to be worried about piephobes?

Also, Halloween is sort of postponed around here, due to heavy rains and a tornado watch. Any ghosts might get caught in funnel clouds.

Most of our local Halloween festivities have been canceled or postponed due to very high winds. With funnel clouds maybe you could make a funnel cake.
