FWR:

Excellent textures and tones in this image. The eyes are drawn to the doorway into the tree trunk, but look around the scene, you can almost smell the damp earth! Lovely nature shot.

DG:

I expect Paigetheoracle, our tree-root specialist, to be along to admire. There's something wonderful about living wood and its textures. Also the lines of everything growing.

I hope the parts of he tree that one can't see are healthy. smiley - smiley

Perhaps the hollow leads to the home of one of the animals in "Wind in he willows."

Yes, here I am despite a bang to the head by just such a tree (jumped out of the dark and smacked me on the bonce, like something out of The Wizard of Oz). Lovely texture as you say DG. It's wonderful how trees can survive despite monumental damage - hopefully I will too (if I don't Dmitri, you can have my tree bark collection).
