OK, it's middle class English people recreating the ancient custom of Morris dancing. All good clean fun. Or is it?
These customs go back to a time when the success of the harvest was a matter of life and death and depended on the influence of spirits both good and evil. It could get pretty dark...

The one in the middle looks like my sister-in-law.
You didn't ask for a link to Percy Grainger's Morris Dance, but I'mm obviously going to include it anyway

I would have said 'Elderly elves protesting for affordable and accessible meadows with good healthcare at a short distance to the stores'
Maybe?

Access to the stores? Wouldn't the shopkeepers be afraid that the elves might run off with customers' babies?
(Except for the shopkeepers who don't find babies charming )

But don't they have glamour to trick the shop keepers? Also I would guess they are probably out of the baby business at that age.

A trustworthy elf once told me.....aha, you're thinking, trustworthy elves are about as common as acrophobic tightrope walkers.
We know so little about elves, in truth. Maybe they don't even *like* baking cookies in hollow trees, or making toys at the North Pole, or dragging themselves out of Rivendell for one more battle against the guy with the red eye .
We think they're cute and tiny, but maybe some of them are big, or tall, or obese. The small ones could get jobs riding horses in races. They're a minority no matter where they go. They should be protesting for their rights.
