A Conversation for My Song is a Paper Swan

Lovely lilies

Ah lovely to hear this again, I say hear, not read! I can hear this poem song, music appears from paper folds.

I love it when you write 'it floated free past the lilies and clumps of sedge'.

So lovely, the lilies, I see white lilies, blending with the white paper swan, and the cool green sedge. Is sedge kind of like rushes? Sort of water grass?

Thank you. smiley - smiley
I think sedges and rushes are similar plants of ponds and damp places. I have heard an old saying 'Rushes are round but sedges have edges'. Don't know if it's true!

It seems so sad that swans should sink.
'Tis serious, not a caper.
This shipwrecked bird has made me think:
let's waterproof the paper!
smiley - doh.
