More Winter Colour

This winter in the UK has been surprisingly warm - we have had a couple of frosty mornings, but many more days have seen temperatures around 10°C. That helped to explain why my 'Freddie Mercury' Rose was in bloom on Christmas Day. That isn't the only flower that I have enjoyed this season...

These flowers1 grew from seeds that fell out of a hanging basket in summer. The plants found enough soil in the cracks between paving blocks to survive and flourish - the flowers are still going strong after several weeks!
