I always get a big kick out of seeing perfectly-lighted photos of ostensibly dimly-lit scenes.
I've been online in search of plants that thrive in deep shade. All the websites I visit show these plants with plenty of light. 
If the power was off, did you use a flashbulb to get that picture?

Letting dogs have raccoon toys is surely the first step down into the vortex.

I think the toy referred to was actually the one Elektra calls 'Lamb Chop'.
But Lola does have a raccoon. He's called Ricky. She's always trying to take him on walks. 
Raccoons have ringed tails and face masks, like the little burglars that they are.

One dark night, long ago, I saw a ratty looking raccoon down by the river. I hurried past, as such creatures might be rabid.
