Join the Q: Yet More Camera Experiments

Since I got a new Bridge Camera this year, I have been enjoying trying out the different features and doing experiments at different times of the day. One evening, I looked out of my window to see the Moon and Venus looking impressive in the twilight so I seized the moment and took some pictures in various modes.

The camera captured the colour of the twilight to perfection straight away. I then tried zooming in on Venus. 'Handheld Night Mode' helped me to avoid a shaky image, so the disc of the planet came out surprisingly well. Finally I zoomed in on the Moon before it disappeared behind the house opposite and was pleased by how, with the right shutter speed setting, the camera captured the crescent crisply.
