Beautiful journey into Lincoln today, but I do wish the bus company would occasionally wash the windows. It's dark coming back but I would like to see the great blue skies of Lincolnshire that come right down to the ground in the morning.
Do not have an accident in Lincoln. An elderly lady who fell badly outside the cathedral had to wait so long for an ambulance that they sent her to A and E (shouting distance) in a taxi. It seems the dispatch centre is now in Leicester. "Is the patient still breathing?" (after the second phone call) "Yes, but she's been lying on cold stone for half an hour. Don't know if she can hold out much longer"

That is terrible about the accident.
A couple of years ago my mum witnessed an accident and called an ambulance for someone who fell and banged their head so there was blood. The accident was in a rural area, though, so it was not very surprising that it took more than an hour for the ambulance to arrive, although it was disappointing in the circumstances. Luckily someone else brought blankets to stave off the cold while they were waiting, so the person was relatively OK.
People wouldn't expect to have to wait that long outside Lincoln Cathedral, though
