I have finally worked out how to get from one son's house in Dublin to the other's in Gorey - a straight DART followed by a comfortable train.
Guess what? they're on strike today, so complicated alternative needs to be arranged.
After much texting (yes folks I have finally succumbed to a mobile phone)Met off bus and taken to good restaurant for dinner. I just love Gleason's beef and Guinness pie. My companions (as they say in the best restaurant reviews) went for fishy combinations, but I live too near Grimsby to be tempted by imposters.(Though I will waver when visiting Howth or Templars near the Hook lighthouse)
