Keeping Up a Peer Reviews

In previous years I have inadvertently put PeerReview out of balance, with in one case having 33 entries written by me (or Flea Market rescue attempts by me) in it. Obviously having one voice dominating isn't good for Peer Review, and so in previous years I worked hard to reduce the number of entries in Peer Review down, and I have created a simple and fair system to restrict the number of entries I have in Peer Review at one time.
I consider each of my entries in Peer Review to be either 'Active' or 'Inactive' entries, and the aim is to have no more than 10 Active entries in Peer Review at a time. If an Active entry is picked I can replace it with another Active entry to maintain the 10, but if an Inactive entry is picked I can't add another entry in to Peer Review.
An Active entry becomes an Inactive entry once it has been in Peer Review for a year, or if it is considered to be too long and is split into two entries, half is Active and the other is Inactive. I can also add additional Inactive entries on special occasions (New Year's Day, April Fool's Day etc). So at present I have 10 Active entries. Collaborations and Flea Market Rescues are counted separately; if they are picked I cannot add another entry purely by me.
Any entry I write has to queue in the Edited Guide Writing Workshop until an Active entry slot becomes available in Peer Review, by which time I've forgotten all about whatever it was I'd written about.
Anyway, at the moment I've achieved the goal and have exactly 10 Active entries and 0 Inactive entries in Peer Review, having had 6 Inactive entries in Peer Review earlier in the year.

Thank you for all your efforts - much appreciated
Peer Review is currently in quite good balance - not too empty, but not too full.
However, I am aware that some of your Entries are approaching 'Inactive'ity, and I'm sorry - I try to do my best to help with everything, but some things are something I can't help with...
On the one hand I feel guilty about that, but on the other hand we each have different interests, and some of them may overlap, but some may not, and that's not a problem.
Always good to see what you find to write about next even if they are 18-Certificate films that I couldn't even contemplate watching

It has been in much better balance indeed – this year you, me and Dmitri have made up about a quarter of Peer Review each while we've had some new writers and old returning ones making up the final quarter. Achieving balance does indeed include diversity, on topic, entry length, style, various other parameters etc, and no-one is going to be equally interested in everything. That's just nature.
This system gives me a chance to look forward to entries becoming Inactive after waiting in Peer Review for a year, as this way I get to enjoy the experience of entering a new entry into Peer Review .
