h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Today is my wife's 40th birthday. Even decided to get her a present – she came in with a sparrow this morning which she tried to leave on the sofa, had I not picked her up, carried her outside and, having debirded her, carried her back in and locked the cat flap for 15 minutes to give the bird a chance to recover and get away to safety.
