h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Monday morning I woke up to discover that my right ankle and foot had swollen up overnight, and were now too large to put inside my shoes. That might be why my right foot and leg felt so weird when I was out and about yesterday. I think my ankle has had a reaction to one of the bites I got on Saturday morning – that's the second time I've had that happen this year, although before it was to my left hand.
It is strange – as though my calf, ankle and foot are much bigger than normal it feels as if someone is constantly squeezing them, making them much smaller than normal… And I'd only just got my ankle back to normal again…

Oh no Insect bites can be nasty indeed... Did it take your hand long to recover? I hope your leg is soon back to normal.

It was a few days with my hand, under a week. Still disappointing we have insects still around in November. Where is the cold weather? It is mid-November and I'm still going to work in shorts and t-shirt.

Very unusual indeed that there are so many insects still around - we have had a few cold days up north recently but today has been double figures again - 15 degrees!

Still travelled to work today – in December – in shirt and shorts. weather.
