h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

For some reason over the last couple of days I cannot see the pictures any longer when opening the individual pages. In fact, I can't see any picture on any of the h2 pages. (Except for the ads). All other websites are okay.
Evidentially everyone else can view them but despite trying various resets, no luck. I don't know if it has anything to do with it but I only use an iPad these days, no PC.

Any suggestions would be welcome... Thanks

Are you in the Pliny skin (new one) or one of the old skins? Just asking for the tech people.

I'll pass this on, see what they can figure out. Sorry you're having trouble.

I'm in Brunel. Although sometimes that defaults back to something else if I've passed through the front page. (Is that Pliney?) Either way no pics. I have also tried changing the 'preferences' to Pliney. No go.

No pics on the front page either or any of the other entry pages that I know had them.

As it seems from the convo's everyone else can see them I suspect it's something at my end but I've exhausted my sphere of knowledge.

Same here DG, no pics, not even a smiley.

How very odd - I can see the pictures today, but I have been getting problems where the page loads, but then the whole thing goes blank, so I reported that but it is tricky to pin down the cause as it only happens intermittently...

Maybe we need to feed the hampsters some cake

If more than one person is having the issues with iPad, I'm suspicious that it's iPad. Maybe it was an update (theirs).

I hope our tech people can pin it down.

I've just sent screenshots of the latest 'Pics from a small planet' page and the h2 front page.

Since reading FWR's postings I'd confirm also that there aren't any smileys coming up either. Just a space where they should be.

It all works ok on Mrs D's iPad though.

No pics though.

Ah well.

This is definitely the fault of iPad. No other medium's doing it. Is there any chance at all that iPad users will contact the programmers there about this issue?
