Thank Dmitri/Milla - that's brightened my day.

It reminds me of the Ocar Wilde story 'The Canterville Ghost' - I recently listened to it performed on BBC Radio 4. An American family buy a haunted mansion in England, and are completely nonplussed by the Elizabethan ghost of its former owner, despite the considerable effort he goes to to scare them. The teenage kids play elaborate practical jokes on him. I highly recommend it.

I remember that story! I think we had it as an illustrated childrens book. Lots of fun, and I did feel a little bit sorry about the ghost!
