A Conversation for Superfrenchie's NaJoPoMo 2015
SF's NaJo2015 : November 21th - Energies and invasions

It's happening in the near future.
Norway has built a power plant that works on a mineral called thorium.
The Prime Minister goes to the plant for the official inauguration, and he announces to the journalists that the country won't exploit fossile fuels any more.
As he leaves the place, he is kidnapped by men in a helicopter.
They're going to take control of the oil rigs, and make sure the production goes on.
This is how Russia invaded Norway.
The first two episodes of "Occupied" were broadcast this week on Arte, but I only got to watch them today.
It's well written, by Jo Nesbo "with a slash across the o", no less (and he is pretty famous for his thriller novels already.
We've got a Prime Minister, one of his bodyguards, an investigative journalist and their families, as well as a Russian ambassador and a whole lot of other characters.
I will definitely be watching the rest.

Ah, here's a closed parenthesis for my original post:
)
Yes, that's better.
It is indeed Dmitri.
The intersecting storylines are believable and gripping, with pretty much the same basic ideas as any "occupied country story" (or real life, for that matter) : should we collaborate, should we rebel, won't it get worse if we do, and there's so much positive in collaborating anyway...
So the basics are rather classic, but the treatment of them and the character development are really good, I think.
Hi, Amy!
